This Weekend

  • Wednesday 3/27 through Saturday 3/30 — “Escape to Margaritaville” presented by Mill Mountain Theatre (1 Market Sq., Roanoke). This musical comedy features the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, “Margaritaville,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Volcano,” and many more.   • Wednesday 3/27 through Saturday 3/30 — David Ramey: Gainsboro Road and Beyond (final weekend) at the Harrison Museum of African American Culture (1 Market Sq. SE, Roanoke) and the Taubman Museum of Art (110 Salem Ave. SE, Roanoke). On view at each museum are approximately 100 drawings with 75 accompanying stories that record the artist’s youthful memories of Roanoke’s thriving Black communities of Gainsboro and Northeast from the mid-1940s through the late 1960s. Wednesday, March 27

  • 6 to 8 p.m. — Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 3 to 10 presented by Glo Fiber and the Kiwanis Club of Salem at the Salem Civic Center softball fields (1001 Roanoke Blvd, Salem). Hunts for the two younger age groups (3-6) will be on the back field with the two older age groups (7-10) using the front field.
