The Roanoke Rambler Featured Event:

2026 Roanoke City Council Candidate Mixer & Information Session
Saturday, July 11, 2026 · 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Melrose Branch Library – Community Room

Meet the people who want to lead Roanoke and ask them your questions face to face.

This free, public forum brings together every qualified Roanoke City Council candidate for brief remarks, a live Q&A with the public and press, and a short voter‑education session geared toward students, first‑time voters and new residents. You’ll hear directly from the people whose names will appear on your ballot, then have the chance to press them on the issues that matter most to you — from housing and public safety to schools, jobs and the future of the Roanoke Valley.

After the formal program, stick around to mingle with candidates, talk with local journalists and connect with neighbors who are just as invested in Roanoke’s next chapter as you are. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of who’s running, what they stand for and how to make your vote count.

Be informed. Get involved. Shape Roanoke. Rambler subscribers can submit questions in advance, helping set the agenda for the conversation.
