We went through the valley's community calendars so you don't have to. This week, Weird Al plays Salem, the Taubman opens a big American art show, the Vinton Fall Festival and the Salem Half Marathon happen on the same Saturday, and the Roanoke County supervisors and the city School Board both meet Tuesday. Plans can change, so check with the venue before you go.
